About the role#
We’re looking for experienced distributed systems engineers with a mission to build the best durable application runtime for AI Data Applications.
Some of the things you’ll work on in this role#
- Evolve our durable application runtime to support more advanced data processing and machine learning workflows.
- Interface with our product services to make building Data Applications on TensorLake easy and efficient.
- Optimize our cluster scheduler to improve resource utilization, reduce costs, and maximize performance.
- Design and improve new features for our SDKs.
- Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to take something from an idea to a polished product, defining tasks, implementing them, and monitoring their success.
About you#
- You have 5 or more years of experience in platform and distributed systems engineering.
- You have an ability to autonomously lead, design, and build fault tolerant and resilient systems.
- You like to dive deep into performance challenges, and understand how cluster schedulers and databases work.
- You like to be a part of the entire product development process, from customer research to planning and implementation.
- You have some knowledge about Rust, or are curious enough to learn and use it when necessary.
- You have great written and verbal communication skills.

- Our tech stack is somehow diverse. You’d be mostly working with Rust, Python and FoundationDB on your day to day. But you’ll also need to understand TypeScript, Go, and Terraform enough to touch parts of our backend infrastructure.
